"I have cancer. I will undergo chemotherapy ...", so declared the Duchess of Cambridge, the wife of Prince William, Kate Middleton in a public video message.

Sitting on a bench in Windsor, Kate thanks her husband, Prince William. The princess also said she had shared the struggle she is facing with her children George, 10, Charlotte, 8, and 5-year-old Louis.

 "My medical team advised me to undergo a cycle of preventive chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment."

Kensington Palace announced that Kate is undergoing a cycle of chemotherapy that began in February.

Kate Middleton, 42, was hospitalized on January 16 for "abdominal surgery". At the time of the operation, cancer was not thought of, since no analysis had confirmed the presence of the tumor. However, post-operative tests overturned the diagnosis.
