Jennifer Lopez's appearance in Saudi Arabia, for the Formula 1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, was widely commented on. Wearing a pink Barbie-style dress, she attracted attention as she walked along the Jeddah Corniche track.
The 55-year-old star was seen chatting with F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali and visited the Ferrari team's garage, adding a special 'touch' to the event.
During the live broadcast, commentator David Croft made a joke about one of her old hits, "Waiting for Tonight," saying:
"I'm surprised she's here now - I thought she was waiting for tonight."
The joke was received with mixed opinions from the public.
After the qualifying session, Lopez performed on stage alongside Party Next Door, Major Lazer and Usher. This was her first time performing at an F1 event since the 2014 Singapore Grand Prix.
On the track, Max Verstappen secured pole position with a record lap, narrowly beating McLaren's Oscar Piastrini by just 0.010 seconds.
But qualifying was not without drama – Lando Norris, the current championship leader, crashed at Turn 4 and will start from 10th place, which could affect his title campaign.
Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton continued his lackluster season, finishing seventh behind teammate Charles Leclerc.
