Former Human Resources Director at Astronomer, Kristin Cabot, has filed for divorce from her husband Andrew Cabot, just weeks after she was filmed on a "kiss cam" during a Coldplay concert with former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron.
According to court documents, Kristin filed for divorce in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, on August 13.
The scandal erupted after their moment was broadcast on a giant screen during the concert, after Chris Martin warned fans that their faces might appear there. The footage showed Kristin and Byron hugging and then quickly leaving once they noticed the cameras. This immediately sparked speculation of an extramarital affair.
Andrew Cabot's ex-wife Julia told the Daily Mail that the split was no surprise. She revealed that Andrew had sent her a message shortly after the concert, writing: "Her life is none of my business" and that they were already breaking up.
Julia added: "He says it's none of his business, even though they were married and living together. But the only thing Andrew cares about is money. Neither Kristin nor Andrew seemed suitable for marriage."
Wealth and previous marriages
Property records show that Kristin and Andrew bought a $2.2 million home together in Rye, New Hampshire, in February. This is the second divorce for Kristin, who was previously married to Kenneth Thornby until 2022. For Andrew, the CEO of Privateer Rum, this will be the third failed marriage.
Julia also said that the scandal was a kind of "karma" and that Andrew was more embarrassed than emotionally affected by the situation.
On the other hand, Kristin was seen without her wedding ring since July, adding to rumors of marital problems before filing for divorce.
This divorce has attracted a lot of media attention, combining the intrigue of a public scandal at an international concert with the private life of a high-profile former executive and her businessman husband.
