However, it wasn't just the result on the field that garnered the most attention, but also a post published by the Manchester United Indonesia account.
In the message dedicated to the "Red Devils" footballer, Amad Diallo, the administrators of the page intended to thank him for his performances at the World Cup. However, the English version of the post used the phrase:
" Rest in peace ."
This formulation, which in English means " Rest in peace ", was immediately considered a blunder, as it is usually used to express condolences for deceased persons and not for the elimination of a team from a sports competition.
The post quickly went viral on the "X" platform, where numerous users reacted with ironic comments and memes, turning the mistake into one of the most commented moments after the match.
