Jasveen Sangha, known as the "Ketamine Queen", has appeared in federal court in Los Angeles, where she admitted to supplying ketamine to "Friends" actor Matthew Perry, a drug that proved fatal for him.
Sangha has been in prison since August 2024, and her sentencing is set for December 10, and if convicted, she faces up to 60 years in prison. She has pleaded guilty to several charges, including drug trafficking that led to Perry's death. According to the lawsuit, she worked with middleman Erik Fleming to sell vials of ketamine to the actor's personal assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, who injected Perry with at least three fatal doses on the day of his death.
Investigators also discovered that Sangha had sold ketamine to another man who died of an overdose in 2019. A search of Fleming's North Hollywood home turned up methamphetamine, ecstasy, cocaine, counterfeit Xanax pills, and equipment for measuring and dispensing the drug.
In addition to Sangha, two doctors, Mark Chavez and Salvador Plasencia, pleaded guilty and are expected to receive reduced sentences. Plasencia had resold ketamine to Perry at exorbitant prices, costing the actor up to $2,000 per vial.
Matthew Perry was found dead in October 2023, at the age of 54, in the hot tub of his Pacific Palisades mansion. An autopsy revealed unusually high levels of drugs, prompting an international investigation and a series of legal actions involving five different people. / cbs news
