The 61-year-old actress Demi Moore appeared on the cover of the September issue of "Interview" magazine. She is currently promoting her film The Substance, which is about a star who injects black market drugs to look younger, which transforms her into a young and energetic beauty, played by Margaret Qualley.
In an interview, Demi commented on the great attention her bikini body attracted when she was 40 years old and starred in the movie "Charlie's Angels".
"I worked on the movie 'Charlie's Angels' and there was a lot of talk about the famous bikini scene. Everything was very pointed and a lot was discussed about my appearance. I didn't feel like I didn't belong. It was more like – I'm not in my 20s or 30s, but I still wasn't what they considered a 'mom,'” she explained.
"Hollywood is hard on women at that age because there are no more scripts or roles that suit them. Either you're a mother, or you're old enough not to be considered attractive," Demi said.
In her new film, she plays a Hollywood star, Elisabeth Sparkle, who takes an experimental drug to create a newer version of herself and thus becomes a completely different person.
Moore revealed that the film's script touched him deeply, as it dealt with the issue of aging in a unique way.
