We have a new record for the woman with the biggest tongue on the planet. The size of her tongue has made her enter the Guinness World Records.
Her name is Brittany Lacayo, a lawyer from Texas. Her tongue is 7.90 centimeters. The width of the American lawyer's tongue is 2.5 centimeters wider than its length, if measured from the tip to the middle of the closed upper lip.
"People are shocked, but they think it's fun," she said.
So Lacayo dethroned Emily Schlenker, also from the US, whose tongue was 7.33 centimeters wide. She held the record for a decade.
"This record had not been broken in 10 years until now: the previous holder was Emily Schlenker (USA), who won the title as a teenager with a 7.33cm wide tongue," explained GWR.
And for the sake of comparison, the men's record still belongs to Brian Thompson (USA), with a tongue 8.88 centimeters wide.
