Angelina Jolie has complained about the legal battle with her ex-husband, Brad Pitt, over the Chateau Miraval vineyard, according to recently released emails.
"I need to relieve all the stress," the famous actress writes to her business manager in May 2021, continuing:
"I honestly feel like I'm getting sick from worrying. So I'd like to talk about improving support. And not continuing relationships that you see as stressing me out."
At the same time, she also seems to be talking about her brother, James Haven, writing: "Financial situations like Jamie's where I just give and give and don't even get a 'thank you'...it's just wrong."
Another November 2023 email that was presented as evidence by Pitt's team was a response from the actress's lawyers to a $35 million lawsuit from the 61-year-old.
A third email from Jolie's team, dated October 2023, appears to coincide with allegations that Brad is suing his ex-wife "seeking ongoing damages for alleged injuries from the Miraval activity."
The email states that "Pitt's continued refusal to release the documents is related to the reasons why he needed the 4-year silence contract to cover his act" and adds that the documents are important "to the core of our case and must be released."
The 286-page lawsuit filed in Los Angeles is an attempt by Pitt's lawyers to obtain copies of Jolie's email communications about the sale of Miraval in 2021.
The actress's legal team has cited client privilege regarding the case, refusing to hand them over.
