For this reason, the Ministry of Education in Italy is working on drafting an official code of ethics for all school personnel.
This regulation will be in line with the Code of Conduct for public employees, according to which they must avoid statements, images or comments that may damage the image of the administration.
The case of Elena Maraga, a preschool teacher in Treviso, has brought this issue back into focus.
Maraga, 29, is also a bodybuilder and has an active profile on OnlyFans.
The Italian Federation of Preschool Schools (FISM) of Treviso has started drafting a code of ethics that will regulate the behavior of teachers on social networks. This document will be put to a vote on April 30.
Simonetta Rubinato, president of FISM Treviso, stressed that "courtesy and maintaining privacy should be part of the identity of every teacher."
She emphasized that this is a delicate discussion, which is being handled carefully to protect both the children and the teachers themselves.
