Joseph Baena made his first bodybuilding history by winning the NPC Natural Colorado State Championships, held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, in Denver. He secured three gold medals, capturing the title in the Men's Body Heavyweight Class, Men's Classic Physique True Novice, and Men's Classic Physique Novice categories.
In an Instagram post, Baena celebrated the victory with the caption:
“Mission Accomplished!”
The photos released show his excitement on stage, as he smiles and bows to greet fans. The success marks his debut in bodybuilding, decades after his father, Arnold Schwarzenegger, entered the same field, which made him a legend in the 1980s.
Joseph has previously revealed that the road to success hasn't always been easy. He wrote on Instagram that high school didn't always look like it does today:
"People sometimes forget that I was fat in high school. I got kicked off my basketball and football teams because I couldn't keep up with the other kids."
This triumph appears to be an important first step for Baena, who is following in his father's footsteps in bodybuilding and making his name on the international stage.
