A sudden absence of the popular political show “Opinion” from its usual schedule has sparked a wave of speculation and conspiracy theories on social media and Albanian media. Many writers interpreted the absence as intentional, hinting that the show may have contained sensitive content that had been censored.
To put an end to the rumors, presenter Blendi Fevziu himself reacted through a video, clarifying that the reason for the absence had nothing to do with censorship. He completely denied the news that the show was recorded and not allowed to be broadcast due to "Balluku's secret video", calling them "completely untrue".
"The Opinion show was not broadcast last night, as is rare. In fact, it was TV Klan's mistake not to clarify this in the morning, to make way for the 'Golden Ball' spectacle," said Fevziu, reiterating that the nature of the program is mainly live.
He added that he refused to start later and that the show was not ready for logistical and communication reasons within the channel. To show his seriousness, Fevziu revealed that he had canceled a personal trip just to prepare the show as planned: “I canceled the trip I had to do exactly the show I planned to do today.”
The presenter concluded the explanation by describing the situation as a "banality of the times, an Albanian banality" and emphasizing that the responsibility for not informing the public lies with TV Klan: "It was Klan's mistake that they should have notified the public that the show would not be broadcast."
