David and Victoria Beckham have been married for 21 years, but even to this day the footballer remembers their meeting in every detail.
The veteran footballer gave an interview to the "Tonight Show" and told how they met, while revealing that he keeps something from that day to this day.
"I met her when she came to see me at a game in London with her manager and one of the Spice Girls. We all knew the Spice Girls because they were extremely popular at the time. I was at Manchester United. We all had our favorite Spice Girl. Of course, Victoria was my favorite too. So, yes, it was the first time I met him," he said.
"I had not spoken to him that day. The following week, she returned to Manchester to watch another match. And I had a few drinks then, we were drinking and I decided to talk to him. I said 'Why not? I'll try to get her number,'" he continued.
As he explained later, not only did he manage to get her number, but he still keeps the ticket he wrote to this day.
“We talked for about an hour and then she had to get the train and leave. She wrote her number on the ticket she had, which I still have. 20 years later and 4 kids and I still have it," concluded David.
