A pilot has gone viral on the social network "TikTok" after answering a question that many travelers ask. Why should we switch our phones to airplane mode before flying?
The pilot said that the button on the phone is not just a conspiracy.
“Forgetting this protocol will not cause the aircraft to lose control or interfere with the onboard systems. "However, if many passengers do not use the option, the phones may accidentally connect to the pilots' radio communications with the control towers," the aviator said.
He closed the video by recalling a recent flight where he was using his headphones and the interference caused him to feel like he had a "mosquito" in his ear.
According to US law, passengers are required to use this option during the flight.
