Naim Bunjaku, known as Xuxi, has shared his life story with the public in Big Brother VIP Kosovo 3. He has spoken about the suffering caused by drug addiction and rehabilitation in Turkey. Xuxi told about the re-contact with his daughter Kiara after 29 years and about the health difficulties of the other daughter, Sumeja, who suffered from bacterial meningitis.
He emphasized that the family is a strong support and expressed his thanks for the love and support he received.
I had a very nice childhood. I never missed anything. When I turned 18, I finished high school, I studied for two years as a journalist and then I had to go to military service in the former state of Yugoslavia and when I came back, because of my parents, I chose law.
Then my freedom was restricted, then I had to go to Germany to stay until 1997. They were difficult years for me because I was lonely, away from my family. I miss my parents, in a few days I have my mother's anniversary, now it's been five years and it hurts me that I wasn't there in her last moments. Mother is holy.
It always hurts me that I was not there that day.
I met my ex-wife in Germany spontaneously, we got married in 1992 and Kiara, my daughter, was born on October 6, 1993. After Kiara was born, my relationship with her changed radically. Unfortunately, I left my three-month-old daughter.
I know my friends told me 'why don't you go meet the girl', but when I came back I didn't have the right to go back to that country for ten years.
I had to wait 29 years to meet Kiara. When I contacted him on Instagram for the first time, I wrote that I am the biological father, Naim. After a while I received the message that he was very happy. When I came out, I didn't know how to react, I asked if I could hug him. It was one of the most beautiful moments of my life because I missed it a lot. It saddened me a lot in the end that she insisted that she will not have children because she has multiple sclerosis, she can't risk her life. It is difficult when he says that 'you can never expect children from me'.
When I returned, Ardiana, my wife, and Bardhi, my son, knew about Kiara, but Sumeja didn't because we had a hard time telling her because of a problem that Sumeja has. For Sumeja, he was a friend because he couldn't believe that at that age of 16, he didn't know he had a sister.
Sumeja was born in 2006 and has been a great joy. They realized that she has bacterial meningitis, at 11 months old I realized that she is deaf in both her ears. It was the most difficult moment in life. The sky fell on my head. She has been a fighter all her life. At the age of three and a half, she heard for the first time, her reaction was extraordinary. With a lot of sacrificial work, wealth has not mattered to me, only that Sumeja is equal to others.
Thanks to God, I spent everything I had for Sumeja's health. Parents do everything in life for their children. Sumeja is 18 years old today, a very beautiful girl. If I can be proud of anything it is my family. God has given me the greatest love in life, Ardiana.
I had my own problems with drugs and was addicted for several years, until 2000 when I went to Turkey for rehab.
I am a reborn man. I didn't come here for people to recognize me, I didn't lack fame. The grand prize could make a big difference in my family's life.
