Former Miss Kosovo, Zana Berisha, who became viral a few years ago with her scandalous appearance at the big beauty pageant, a few days ago sat in the dock at the Basic Court in Prizren. This, after Berisha was arrested on suspicion of blackmailing her ex-boyfriend, a well-known businessman from Prizren, with whom she broke up in a non-peaceful way, this case also got her into trouble with the law.
'Sinjali' has learned exclusive details from this case involving the girl who represented Kosovo in Miss Universe 2018 and her story with the businessman who fell prey to her and paid large sums of money.
Sources within the Prosecutor's Office have indicated that investigations into this matter have already begun and include cases that occurred between the ex-miss and the businessman, at different times, since 2021.
The love affair between the former Miss Kosovo and the well-known businessman ended with the illegal benefit of wealth on the part of Berisha, who managed to blackmail the businessman for two years in a row, threatening to damage his image.
It is suspected that everything started in the summer of 2021, when the relationship between them broke down and the intention that Zana Berisha allegedly had towards her boyfriend, with whom they had a hidden relationship, came to light. Zana benefited from the businessman no less than 100 thousand euros in hard cash.
The ex-miss threatened the businessman with the publication of their intimate photos and videos, which she had taken while they were enjoying their love affair.
In the summer of 2021, while the suspect was in the United States of America, she asked the victim for 100,000 euros, on the grounds that she needs that money to live and meet her needs.
After this request, the businessman thought to end the relationship by refusing to send him the money, but that's when the drama started.
The ex-miss decided to take revenge by threatening him, and even went further, sending his family members photos and video recordings where they were seen together.
At the beginning of 2022, Zana returned from America and allegedly continued to blackmail the businessman, with whom he could not get along remotely.
After all that time, the ex-miss and the businessman met in a restaurant in Pristina, where the suspect went to the victim, in order to threaten him again, saying that "he has done nothing, compared to what he will do", to warn him that he will publish all the evidence he has.
Through such forms, in 2022, Berisha allegedly succeeded in blackmailing her ex-boyfriend, a businessman, whom she forced to buy him a luxury car (worth around 70 thousand euros), stipulating that if he did not does so – then she will ruin a planned family holiday.
And, as if this was not enough, after about a year the businessman was forced to give money to the suspect in the hope that this "job" will be closed and they will part ways. This time, he gave the blackmailing girlfriend about 50 thousand euros.
But even this large amount of money did not work and the situation between them continued as in the movies with threats and scary warnings.
According to the same sources, from September 2022 to July of this year, the businessman was forced to give money to the suspect every month, with the condition that if he did not pay, she would continue to cause problems in the family .
Thus continuing to be a victim of blackmail, the amount assigned to him by the ex-miss was 5 thousand euros per month. So for 11 months, the businessman gave 55 thousand euros.
In total, the businessman paid about 175 thousand euros, including the purchase of the car, thanks to the threats.
The hearing for this case has already been held, where the court has given the right to the Prosecution, but the final decision has not yet been taken.
