Eric Roberts gave an interview on the podcast "Still Here Hollywood" and among other things, he received questions about his sister, Julia, but he said that he is not allowed to talk about her.
The actor, who has more than 700 titles in his multi-year career spanning five decades, is the older brother of 56-year-old Julia Roberts, with whom he has admitted to having a complicated relationship.
The cause of their troubled relationship is Eric's battle with addiction, which caused him to lose another important woman in his life, wife and actress Kelly Cunningham.
Julia was inseparable with her brother, even funding her sister-in-law's legal fees during a custody battle for the couple's daughter, Emma. The 68-year-old actor spoke in 2018 in an interview with Vanity Fair about the bad relationship he has with his sister, blaming himself.
"I was exhausting in my company. I complained, I blamed, I couldn't be satisfied with anything. Everyone in my world needed a break sometimes, and that must have included Julia," he said in an interview at the time.
Additionally, Eric claims that Julia Roberts has now instructed him not to speak publicly about their relationship. Speaking on the same podcast, Eric Roberts told host Steve Kmetko: "I love my sister, but I can't talk about her."
