Famous Greek singer Giorgos Mazonakis has reacted to the news that he has been locked up in a psychiatric hospital by his sister and family.
Greek media reports that through a statement made public by his lawyer, the singer says that he is fine and does not suffer from any mental illness. He reaffirmed the rumors that all this was done by his sister and family members who apparently want to take his property, with whom he has been in legal proceedings for several years.
“My temporary confinement here at Dromokaiteio was done without notice. I do not suffer from any mental illness that requires psychiatric care and that could make me dangerous either to myself or to third parties. Behind this ordeal lies a disgusting method. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart, fans, collaborators, friends, entrepreneurs of Fever, for the unwavering support and love that you are showing me during this difficult personal moment. I feel grateful and I promise to be with you soon ,” George Mazonakis said in his message.
Meanwhile, his lawyer said he is convinced that Giorgios will return home on Monday, adding that this entire maneuver was done on Thursday, which was followed by four days of holidays for institutions in Greece.
