The New Year 2024 is just a few days away and on the first day of January, Japan was rocked by a powerful 7.6 magnitude earthquake.
This event is also considered one of the worst prophecies of Nostradamus for the year 2024, which was fulfilled only a few hours after the New Year.
Referred to as the "prophet of doom," the 16th-century French astrologer is known for predicting the Great Fire of London, the rise of Adolf Hitler, and even Bitcoin.
His vision of the future is presented in his 1555 collection Les Propheties, and while his writings are unclear, some believe he predicted the 7.6 earthquake in Japan.
" The dry land will become drier and there will be great floods", said Nostradamus at that time. He also said that 2024 would see a "great famine through damaging waves ", with a "bad wave" thought to be an earthquake.
It is one of the biggest natural disasters in the history of the country and some link it to the prediction of Nostradamus.
Another legendary mystic, Baba Vanga of Bulgaria, also appears to have predicted the disaster in Japan, where at least 84 people were killed.
Although somewhat vague, she predicted a worsening climate, with several such disasters throughout the year. Baba Vanga became famous throughout Europe for predicting the Chernobyl disaster in Ukraine, the death of Princess Diana and 9/11 in New York.
