Anja : I was shocked by your statement a long time ago that after the death of your father, your mother gave you up for adoption. How much has this fact killed you?
Zhaklin : I was 8 years old when it happened, I ran away when I was 9 years old. I spent these years asking why it happened, was there someone to blame? It is a situation that I have overcome, managed and put it behind me. My life is divided into two parts: Communism fell, my father died and I fled to Italy. Some very big changes happened to me and my life changed forever. And all that fantastic childhood with those fantastic parents, with the sister, with the rules of our family, a very beautiful life that the father built for us, disappeared and this new life began that seemed to me not to belong to me. And now that I'm where I am, when I look back it seems like it was a movie and not my life. I ask myself "Was I really that strong?" But I would not be who I am today, this has been my journey.
Anja : Have you ever blamed someone for this?
Zhaklin : Yes, definitely. I wasn't always so mature
Anja : Who did you blame?
Zhaklin : My family members, those who decided for me. I don't think there is a culprit in this. It is easy to judge someone else's actions without knowing what the circumstances, mindset, mentality were like. The important thing is that I got the best.
