New details have come to light regarding a scandal in Milan, involving the organization of luxurious parties with the use of banned substances and escort services, which are reported to have included Serie A footballers and Formula 1 drivers. According to preliminary investigations, various players are suspected of having transferred around 200 thousand euros for these services.
Authorities are currently investigating the bank accounts of the arrested individuals, suspected of running a prostitution ring. Some of the funds are suspected of being transferred to Lebanon.
Evidence and mode of operation
The first hearings have begun, where they are mainly questioning girls who frequented the footballers. According to the testimonies, they turned to the events agency “Ma.De.” to organize evenings in nightclubs in Milan. These activities, in some cases, ended in hotel premises, where escort services were offered with payments reaching up to 1,000 euros per night.
Arrests and charges
The investigation conducted by the Milan authorities has led to the house arrest of four people, including Deborah Ronçi, owner of the agency “Ma.De.”, and her partner Emanuele Butini. They are accused of being organizers of a criminal structure aimed at the exploitation of prostitution, as well as other illegal activities, including money laundering.
Financial flow and the scale of the scandal
Investigators are focusing on tracing financial flows that are suspected of generating over 1.2 million euros in less than two years of activity. At least 200,000 euros are thought to have been transferred by footballers through bank payments, often after matches played at the San Siro stadium.
Players from several Serie A clubs, including Inter, Milan, Juventus, Torino, Sassuolo and Verona, are named in the case. However, none of them are currently under investigation.
Documents and evidence
According to investigative documents, around 70 names of footballers were used as references to check the data on the seized phones. The aim was to verify the links between the organisation, the athletes and the girls suspected of prostitution, aged 19-21.
So far, only a small group of girls have been confirmed to have had direct contact with four or five footballers, who are suspected of paying for sex. They are expected to be questioned as witnesses.
Media stance and financial investigations
The Italian media outlet "Corriere della Sera" has decided not to publish the names of the people involved out of respect for privacy, at least until their role in the suspected illegal activities is clarified.
Meanwhile, the Guardia di Finanza has identified the flow of money to the company “Ma.De.”, including substantial payments for parties amounting to up to 3,500 euros each. Investigators are trying to determine which of these payments are directly linked to the escort services, which allegedly handed over 50% of their profits to the organization.
There are also indications that part of the proceeds may have been transferred initially to bank accounts in Lithuania and then to other destinations.
