Salah's comments sparked speculation about his future at Anfield Road, raising questions about whether the forward could have played his last game for Liverpool.
With Salah expected to join Egypt for their Africa Cup of Nations preparations next week, there have been questions about his future at the club. However, Arne Slot has confirmed that he will hold a direct conversation with Salah this morning to discuss the situation and find a way out.
At a press conference ahead of Liverpool's match against Brighton tomorrow, Slot said: " I will speak to Mo this morning. The outcome of that conversation will determine how we proceed ."
" I need a conversation with him, and the next time I talk about Mo, it should be with him and not here in this room ," he added. " I can't say more. I will talk to him today and the outcome will determine what the situation looks like tomorrow. "
Slot also stressed that there had been many conversations in recent weeks, including between Salah's representatives and Liverpool staff. " We've spoken a lot over the last week, since the game against Sunderland ," the Liverpool manager concluded.
