Armando Sadiku was the protagonist today in the semi-final match of the Indian Super League, but not as he would have liked. The Albanian striker hoped to continue with the goals in the match for the second seasonal trophy, after the one in the regular season where the Mohun Bagan team finished in first place.

But in the first semi-final match against Odisha FC, Sadik's team was defeated 3-1 and the Albanian player left the field prematurely with a red card. He was punished with a yellow card in the extra minutes of the first half and then received a second yellow in the 67th minute for a heavy tackle on an opponent.

This red card will rule him out of the return leg in Kolkata in a few days. While it remains to be seen if, in case of qualification for the grand final, he will again be among the starters for his team.
