The striker of the national team, Armando Sadiku has won a championship title for the first time in his career.

Sadiku has been crowned champion with the Mohun Bagan team in India, thanks to a triumph in the last week against the Mumbai side who had topped the championship till date.

Mohun Bagan, with Sadiq in the starting line-up, triumphed in the match played in Calcutta with the result 2-1, in the direct duel against the team that had a 2-point advantage in the standings and passed it in the photo finish to grab the title of champion in the regular season.

Thus, Mohun Bagan were declared champions and for Sadiq, this was the first championship trophy to celebrate in his elite career, having previously secured only the Cup in Switzerland. Sadiku ended the regular season with 8 goals scored and 1 assist with Mohun Bagan.
