The month of January in football coincides with a period of vacation and at the same time the movement of players.
In Albanian football, while there are more returns, it is difficult to find examples of transfers to the West. Altin Lala, the former captain of the red and black national team, is today a promoter and manager of football talents, mainly Albanians. In an interview for "Top Channel", Lala tells what the situation of interest is for footballers in our championship.
" When I left football, I tried to be part of the technical staff, where I was the assistant coach of the A national team and the red and black U-19 team. But in the long term, I always wanted to play the role of football manager. At first, I had the player of the Kosovo national team, Milot Rashica, I like this field more. In the Albanian championship, meanwhile, I have 4 players, such as Mario Dajsinani, Klevi Qefalia, Adrian Doçi and Grei Kuçi who plays for Teuta. In recent years, there has been a movement in the transfers of Albanian players ," said football manager Altin Lala.
Can a Super League player move to a well-known European league or team?
" Now there are no more transfers from the Super League to the major European championships and I think that a step in the B Leagues of the Top 5 Leagues in Europe is very good, but directly in the A Leagues is impossible, seeing the intensity of the game and the stability, it is difficult to achieve by the players of our championship. Very rare are the cases that have happened, such as Uzuni, who went through several leagues or Rrahmani who went through the stages until he went to Napoli where he was declared champion twice and is having a fantastic career ," said Lala.
While it is often the parents who have a negative influence on player negotiations and movements, Lala emphasizes that being born in Albania or Europe makes a big difference in a player's transfer opportunities.
" The case of Albanian players who play today in the big leagues, like Broja, who was born in England, Asllani in Italy or Bajrami in Switzerland, comes as a result of a different sports upbringing and undoubtedly much greater chances than players who are born and raised in Albania. Meanwhile, from the players of our national team, I believe that the greatest chances to go high are Medon Berisha and Kristjan Asllani, who are still young. I believe Asllani will rediscover himself at Girona, while I really like how Medon Berisha plays and I believe that he will make a lot of progress to reach the Champions League levels ," he said.
Finally, a prediction from the former captain about Albania's chances in the World Cup play-offs.
" The chances are very good, despite the fact that Poland is a difficult team, but passable. At first we will have to keep the score and not concede a goal, then we will find a way to score. If we do not allow them to create many chances, their fans are very critical and can turn against them and put pressure on their team. This would be the key, the chances are 50/50 in my opinion ", said Altin Lala.
