One of the most prominent figures in Albanian basketball, Spiro Koleka, has passed away at the age of 73. Known as "Pirro", the former basketball player "passed away" this morning.
Koleka is undoubtedly known as one of the figures who left his mark with the 17 November basketball team, a team that is now called “KS Tirana”. He was a leader on the court in the 70s. But his skills made him go beyond the border.
He became the coach of the famous Italian team, Victoria Libertas Pesaro, and was successful there as well. His departure leaves behind a great pain for his family, friends and colleagues who worked with him over the years.
