Manchester United confirms, "Red Devils" end cooperation with Brazilian star

Midfielder Casemiro will leave Manchester United at the end of this season, once his current contract expires.

The 33-year-old has an option in his contract to extend for another year, but the English team has announced through an official statement that the collaboration will not continue.

The Athletic reported in January that the one-year extension clause could also be automatically activated if Casemiro starts a certain number of matches, believed to be 35, during the 2025-2026 season.

Casemiro's salary has been £15 million per year for the three seasons (including the current one) in which United have not participated in the Champions League, while it has risen to £18 million in the only season when the club has been part of Europe's most important club competition.
