Atalanta have imposed disciplinary measures against Ademola Lukman, who has returned to the Bergamo club after Inter withdrew from the race to secure his card. The player had "disappeared" 15 days ago by boycotting the club's training sessions, convinced that this would convince Atalanta to sell him to the Milanese.
But Atalanta rejected every offer they received from their league rivals and continue to hope to sell him outside Italy, as they await offers from English clubs. Thus, Lukman was forced to return to training with Atalanta today, aware that he cannot force the club to transfer him where he wants.
There he was given a disciplinary measure, after being fined for his unjustified absence for 15 days, as well as the fact that during this period of time he had completely severed relations with the club by not responding to the management. It will be a model fine for the player, who has clearly broken his contract.
In addition, for the next two weeks, he will train separately, with a personal training and athletic preparation program to find his form, without joining the rest of the squad. Thus, Lukman will not play in the first two weeks in Serie A and if a club is not found to transfer him, he will probably return to the team only after the international break.
