Recently, there has been talk of a transfer of the talent from Shkodra, Brajan Gruda, to the ranks of the Albanian National Team, but the chances are high that this will not happen.
In fact, the player himself thinks otherwise. According to him, the big goal and dream is to play with Germany in the 2026 World Cup. While he is gathered with the German U-21 national team, the footballer of Albanian origin has given a statement to the official website of the German Federation, as he says:
" I'm happy to be here, I'm having fun, both in training and outside of it. I have been back to training for 1 week. I think I will introduce myself slowly and get some minutes in the first game. Maybe more in the second game. I will make the most of my time with the U-21s, the minutes will do me good.
Gathering with the German A national team was a wonderful feeling. I was able to train with players that I had only seen on TV before. It was intense and you could clearly see the difference in quality compared to the U-21s.
At the moment I'm happy to be with the U-21s and that's the focus now. But everyone wants to play for the A team. My goal is the 2026 World Cup and I want to play an important role there. I want to win everything with the U-21s. It is better if we win both. My time in the adult team will come.
I have family in Albania, my parents come from there. I was born here and spent my youth in Germany. I don't know what the future holds, but my heart tells me that I want to play for Germany ", said Gruda.
