In order to comply with the rules of "Financial Fair Play", the Chelsea club is obliged to sell, mainly players grown in the academy, as it is called net profit and thus mitigates losses.
Many times Armando Broja has been seen as the first on the list to be sold this summer, with Chelsea thinking that Fulham would be the one to buy the Albanian striker's card. But it didn't happen like that and now the Londoners seem to have other priorities in sales.
Reece James and Conor Gallagher are the two players that Chelsea are looking to sell, as they can make quite a bit of profit. The former played only 9 games in total. Injuries have not allowed him to express his potential, while he has a contract until 2028 and costs 50 million euros.
The same situation with Gallagher, who costs around 45 million euros and has a contract until 2024 with the Londoners. He plays regularly with coach Pocetino's team, but it seems that farewell is inevitable.
Another player who will say goodbye to the team is veteran Thiago Silva, who at the age of 39 is expected to return to Brazil. His contract expires this summer, so it will be a free transfer, but the club will not pay his hefty salary.
So, with three players leaving this summer, Chelsea's club leaders could keep Broja, perhaps to give the red-and-black striker one last chance in the squad to express his full potential.
