Real Madrid won a crazy derby 3-2 against Atlético Madrid tonight, in a match full of dramatic twists and turns at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Los Blancos came back from a first-half deficit to take three crucial points thanks to Vinícius Júnior and Federico Valverde, but the match ended with Valverde being sent off in the final minutes.
The match started with Atlético dominating and they took the lead in the 33rd minute when Ademola Lookman scored after an assist from Giuliano Simeone to make it 0-1. Real Madrid woke up in the second half and quickly equalized from the penalty spot in the 52nd minute through Vinícius Júnior.
Just three minutes later, in the 55th minute, Federico Valverde gave the lead 2-1 with a precise shot from outside the area.
Atlético did not give up and equalized again in the 66th minute thanks to Nahuel Molina, who scored after an assist from Julián Álvarez to make it 2-2. But the hero of the evening was once again Vinícius Júnior, who in the 72nd minute received the ball from Trent Alexander-Arnold and with a spectacular shot from outside the net made it 3-2 for Real.
The match became even more tense when in the 77th minute Federico Valverde received a straight red card for a serious foul, leaving Real Madrid with 10 men until the end. However, Los Blancos' defense held strong and secured three important points.
With this victory, Real Madrid is in second place with 69 points, while Atletico is in fourth place with 57 points.
