The Spanish National Court, which is taking the 'Rubiales' case to criminal proceedings, has summoned the former president of the Spanish Football Federation to testify this Friday to the investigator.
These are the first steps taken by Judge Luis Francisco de Horge Mesas, after accepting the Prosecutor's complaint with Luis Rubiales for consideration. The head of the Central Court of Instruction 1 of the National Court, Luis Francisco de Horge, admitted this Monday that he would process the complaint filed by the Prosecution for the crimes of sexual assault against the former president of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) .
Luis Rubiales for kissing the player Jennifer Hermoso in the Women's World Cup final has been called to testify this Friday at the National Court at 12:00 as a defendant.
This report was made by the Prosecutor's Office last week after collecting the player's version.
" The player, as well as her closest environment, has suffered continuous and repeated pressure from Mr. Rubiales and his professional environment, with the aim of justifying and publicly approving the act committed against her will.
Jennifer is suffering from a bullying situation, against the development of her life in peace, tranquility and freedom. By giving a kiss on the lips, holding the head of Mrs. Jennifer Hermoso with both hands, without her consent " - the accusation states.
Rubiales gave his version in the interview with Piers Morgan:
" There was no harm, no sexual content, no aggression. The kiss for Jennifer is like one I would give one of my daughters. It's common among friends and family ."
In an order, the magistrate accepts the first steps, including receiving from RTVE the videos they have in their files that record the moment from all angles in which the defendant kisses the footballer, as well as the minutes immediately before and after.
Also, it requests from the newspaper "El País" the video of the party in the dressing rooms that was posted on the Internet and from "AS" for the moments of the kiss and anything else related to the events.
For its part, the newspaper "La Vanguardia" is looking for the video of the party on the National team bus. The resolution transfers the Prosecutor's file to Rubiales as a defendant, so that he can learn about the alleged facts and exercise his right to defend with all procedural guarantees.
