Away from the controversy surrounding the decision to lift Folarin Balogun's one-match suspension, Donald Trump has made no secret of his love for England captain Harry Kane.
In a post on Truth Social today, he called the striker a "brilliant" player.
Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office over the past hour, Trump said he had watched the match between Mexico and England.
"I don't know the players, although I think Kane is a great player. I played golf with him and I really like him, he's a good golfer too, but he's really great ," he said.
