President Tebas confirms that La Liga will be transferred to America from the 2025-2026 season

La Liga will be played in the United States of America. President Javier Tebas announced this in an interview for Expansion.

"I don't know when, but this time La Liga will play official matches abroad. I think we can start from the 2025-2026 season. Playing official matches in the United States will strengthen our position in the North American market, which is second for La Liga after the Spanish one" - said Tebas.

We recall that Spanish teams have shown interest in such a move overseas in the past, with Barcelona even proposing a derby with Girona to be held in Miami in 2018, but FIFA did not allow such a thing.
