The 2-1 victory in the first leg in Latvia has further increased Partizan's chances of qualifying for the "play off" round of the Conference League, where according to the UEFA draw, the Reds will face the loser of the Ludogorets-Astana pair (the Kazakhs won the first match 2-1).
Today's match against Valmiera at 20:00 at the "Elbasan Arena" stadium takes on great importance, not only to attempt the group stage of a competition like the Conference League for the first time, but also for the finances of the red club. .
If Partizan manages to qualify for the "play off" after today's duel with the Latvians, then there is guaranteed as a bonus from UEFA the amount of 1 million and 560 thousand euros. This figure goes to the coffers of the red club in the most acceptable variant, which means qualification against Valmiera and participation in the "play off" round.
More specifically, for the path it has taken so far in Europe and taking for granted the passage of the third round, Partizan receives 260 thousand euros from UEFA as the champion club of Albania, 100 thousand euros from participating in the first round of the Champions League , 250 thousand euros from the second round of the Conference League, 200 thousand euros from the third round, as well as 750 thousand euros from participation in the "play off" stage.
All these figures in total amount to 1 million and 560 thousand euros. However, with the participation in the "play off", the dream continues and if Partizan after two games in this round manages to qualify and go to the group stage, then the club's coffers will receive a record amount: 3 million and 490 thousand euros .
This is specified by UEFA for the bonus distributed to clubs participating in the group stage. There is also a rule for the champion teams that enter the groups, since they are not distributed the initial prize of 260,000 euros that they receive as title winners.
