Swedish football legend Kurt Hamrin has passed away at the age of 89.
The so-called "Little Bird" became one of the most popular players in Sweden's history, going all the way to the World Cup final in 1958, when they lost to Pele's Brazil 5-2.
Hamrin also made a name for himself in Italian football, where he became the top scorer in Fiorentina's history with 208 goals, while also playing for Juventus, Padova, Napoli and Milan. With the latter, he managed to win the Champions League in 1969.
He had been living in Florence for some time, where he died surrounded by his family.
