The coach of the Albanian national team, Rolando Maran, has expressed his satisfaction with the readiness and professionalism of the players on the eve of two friendly matches. The Red and Blacks will play against Israel on June 3 and against Luxembourg on June 6.

It is important to emphasize that I have seen the players' availability. It is not easy, as they come after a long and difficult season. But they have shown themselves to be cooperative. I have many things in mind, but the most important thing is that it is a functional team and plays these two matches. Even in terms of physicality, for the players who have played more minutes, it also depends on the matches they have played with other teams. We have to count the players for both matches. It is important that everyone is ready, add to this the courage to go out on the field and do well.
Uzun said he expects to be more offensive with you as coach and how do you evaluate Israel as an opponent?
Of course, as I said, what is in focus is to be an Albania that seeks to play the best match. With so little time, it has been difficult to do everything we have prepared and what will come out on the field. But I really liked the desire and motivation of the players. It is a motivated team, let's see how it will be on the field. Israel is not easy, it forces the opponent to play badly. We have to give intensity and not create too many spaces for them. This will be a very good test, for me and for the players.
Only two days, do you think it was enough time to see your ideas, or will we see an Albania with Silvinjo's approaches?
Time is never enough when you are a coach and work in the National Team, there are only a few days to give your ideas. Time is short to get to know the players. I believe that there has been enough time to have a clear concept of the way we want to play. What will be important is how this will be translated on the field the next day. These matches will serve us not only for football ideas, but also for mistakes. We have to be mentally ready and the energy in the team is quite good.
Will we aim for victory or will we simply see your ideas?
Of course the result is important, but so is the performance. If we have a good performance and the result comes, it would be a perfect match. They are friendly, but the result matters to the fans. They hope to win. We will enter the field as a team and to win, with our strengths that we have. It will be difficult, but if the good result comes with a good performance, it will be perfect.
You are old school Italian, in what direction is football going? As a striker or as an Arsenal defender, where do you currently represent yourself?
It's not a PSG-Arsenal match, it's Albania and we have to create a DNA based on our players. If a coach keeps it safe and considers it absolute, he can't evolve. I always question my ideas. Football has changed, but so have the players in recent years. What I like is that when the team goes on the field, it is based on the characteristics of the players and ends the match with a positive result. Every team has its own difficulties, but you have to hide them. What I said in the first conference, I like to have an aggressive team that keeps the ball. Against Israel it will be difficult, because it is hidden in the details of the opposing team's possession of the ball. I want our team to be with courage and personality on the field.
Will you play like Silvinjo 4-3-3 or with your own 4-3-1-2 scheme?
I tried some things, even though there was little time to prepare. I based myself on the characteristics of the players to see how we will play. How they will respond to our attack and ideas. We will see some changes, but there was little time, we have one more training, then things will be decided.
