Joe Barton has made more enemies with his latest post on the social network X (formerly Twitter). The former player of the English national team wrote that women should not talk about men's football.
" I can't take women seriously "
" Women should not talk about men's football. Let's be serious. It's a completely different game. If you don't accept that, we will always see things differently. The women's game is progressing. Fantastic to see. Don't take seriously what they say in the men's arena", Barton wrote and then went a step further with the embarrassing posts .
" Every man who listens to women's comments should do a head test," who then responded to critics individually in the comments .
Owner of 78 yellow and 6 red cards
The "bad boy" of English football, who ended his career at Burnley in 2017, has been unemployed since the end of October when he was sacked by Bristol Rovers.
With 269 appearances in the English football elite, Barton scored 26 goals and provided 34 assists. Meanwhile, during his career, he was punished 78 times with yellow cards and six red cards.
He had a respectable career at clubs such as Manchester City, Newcastle, QPR, Marseille, Burnley and Rangers, but the public will remember him more for his crazy behavior on and off the pitch than for his football skills.
Women shouldn't be talking with any kind of authority in the men's game. Come on. Let's be serious.
