The anti-doping prosecution has requested a four-year sentence for Paul Pogba, who tested positive for dehydroepiandrosterone after the Udinese-Juventus match on August 20.
Pogba was suspended on September 12, then reconfirmed on October 6 when the counter-analysis confirmed the positive result. Therefore, no plea deal, contrary to what had been rumored in recent weeks: the French midfielder will go on trial before the national anti-doping court.
About twenty days ago, his agent, Rafaela Pimenta, said: "We are preparing an appeal. As a lawyer, I am the first person to say that if something should be discussed at a legal level, it should stay there."
The trial should begin in about a month and a half, with the plea agreement there would have been no possibility of appeal, however in this case "CAS" may also come into play later.
