Today, the Englishman has reacted for the first time by saying that moving to the Italian team is a dream come true for him.
" Driving a Ferrari, I realize my childhood dream. I feel incredibly lucky, having achieved results with Mercedes that I could only dream of and now I'm at Ferrari.
I am extremely proud of everything we have achieved together and I am very grateful for the hard work and dedication of everyone I have worked with over the years. I must also share my great appreciation with the entire board of directors of Mercedes Benz and all the company members in Germany and around the world who have supported me during these 26 years.
Now is the time to make a big change and accept a new challenge ," Hamilton said among other things.
The new Formula 1 season starts on March 2 and Luis Hamilton will race for Mercedes and join Ferrari next year.
