Barcelona has lost one of its staff members today. Doctor Carles Minarro has passed away prematurely, in a very dramatic situation for the Catalans who learned the news a few minutes before the start of the scheduled match against Osasuna.
Spanish media have revealed details of the serious incident, after learning that the doctor, who had only joined the Catalans' first team this year, but had been part of the club's medical staff since 2017, had passed away in the hotel where the team was gathered.
The players had boarded the bus as usual and had gone to the stadium without knowing anything about this terrible event, while only in the locker room did they receive the tragic news from president Joan Laporta.
It is reported that the players were very shocked by this serious event and everyone was in agreement that the match should not be played, receiving the understanding of Osasuna and La Liga, which decided to cancel today's match.
