As a result of the cooperation and exchange of information in real time, supported by police intelligence, for the location, capture and arrest for the purpose of extradition, of an internationally wanted citizen, FAST Albania, in cooperation with the Dibër Local Police Directorate, has organized and finalized the police operation coded "Result", carried out in the city of Peshkopia, in the framework of which Fehmi Meziu (Mëziu), 51, was located, captured and arrested for the purpose of extradition to Italy. years old, resident in Dibër.
The Court of Appeal in Naples, Italy, has sentenced this citizen to 13 years in prison for the criminal offenses of "Exploitation of prostitution" and "Criminal organization", provided by the Italian Criminal Code.
"Interpol Tirana continues the cooperation with Interpol Rome, for the extradition of this citizen to Italy", the police announcement states.
