The Disciplinary Committee has decided to punish Antonio Rudiger with a 6-match suspension, Lucas Vazquez with two matches, while it has canceled the suspension and removed the red card from Jude Bellingham, following the expulsions that occurred in the King's Cup final, where Real Madrid was defeated by Barcelona.
As explained by Spanish newspaper MARCA, Rudiger will serve out the majority of the suspension while injured, as he is expected to be out for around a month and a half.
"In the 120th minute, the player (22) Rüdiger, Antonio, was sent off for this reason: for throwing an object from the technical area without being able to hit the referee.
"After the expulsion, he had to be held by several members of the technical staff, showing aggressive behavior," referee De Burgos wrote in his report.
Lucas Vázquez has been given a two-match suspension, which does not affect the league and will be applied in the first two Cup matches next season.
"In the 120th minute the player (17) Vázquez Iglesias, Lucas, was sent off for this reason: for protesting against a decision of ours, entering the pitch a few metres away and making gestures of disapproval."
A different case is that of Jude Bellingham. The English midfielder was "saved" after Real Madrid presented several videos proving that the player did not do what was described in the official report as the reason for the red card.
