Arsenal defender Myles Lewis-Skelly believes the Gunners are ready for the challenge of facing Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League semi-finals, thanks to their "genius" coach Mikel Arteta.
The Gunners are preparing for a special night at the Emirates Stadium, as the first leg of their Champions League semi-final against the French champions is played tonight.
Arsenal last played in a Champions League semi-final in 2009 and their only appearance in Europe's biggest club competition came three years ago when they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Barcelona.
Lewis-Skelly, who has had a brilliant season in north London, insists his team are ready for the match that awaits them against PSG and says there will be "no excuses" ahead of the match.
"As a team, we are prepared and we are ready.
We are in good form at the moment and we are excited to play against PSG because they are in good form too.
It will be a good challenge for us because they are in good form and have a complete team.
"There are no excuses going into the game. We are ready," Lewis-Skelly told Sky Sports.
Lewis-Skelly's confidence has a lot to do with Gunners coach Arteta.
The 18-year-old praised Arteta's punctuality and insists he has a lot to learn from his coach.
"His attention to detail is incredible.
I like to learn, so I'm going to learn from him and the way he handles and approaches games, because it's interesting. There's so much I can learn from him.
"He is truly a genius," he said.
Part of this learning process for Lewis-Skelly has been adapting to a new role. His remarkable growth this season has come at left-back, despite coming through the Gunners' academy as a midfielder, and it's a journey he has relished.
"It's been a smooth process because I love learning and I love improving. Out of this drive to learn every day and grow, I love asking questions. If I don't know the answer yet, I'll make sure to ask the question."
"It was a smooth process for me because I'm obviously a midfielder by profession, but the position wasn't unnatural for me. I enjoyed it," he says.
