Inter won 0-2 against Atalanta in Bergamo, in the final match of week 29 in Serie A. Despite several attempts from both teams, the first half ended 0-0.
The first goal of the match came in the 53rd minute thanks to Carlos Agusto. The Brazilian, forgotten by Atalanta's defenders, headed the ball into the net after a cross from a corner kick by Hakan Çalhanoglu.
In the 72nd minute, Inter scored with Lautaro Martinez, but the referee canceled it for a foul on Berat Gjimshiti. In the 81st minute, the home team was left with 10 men. For protests, Ederson was initially punished with a yellow card, the Brazilian did not agree with the referee's decision and mocked him by clapping in the eye, a gesture that cost him dearly, after being punished with a second yellow card and leaving the field of play.
The safety goal for the Blues came in the 87th minute, when Lautaro Martinez sent the ball into the net after an assist from Barela. In the fifth minute of extra time, Bastoni received his second yellow card, thus equalizing Atalanta with 10 men.
With this victory, Inter maintains first place with 64 points, 3 points more than second-place Napoli. Atalanta remains in third place with 58 points.
