Inter in distress over legendary president Massimo Moratti hospitalized in intensive care

Massimo Morati has been admitted to intensive care in hospital, due to pneumonia.

The former Inter team president is not in critical condition, but the situation remains serious, as doctors have intubated him due to difficulty breathing, Italian media report.

Moratti turned 80 in May of this year, and his birthday party was attended by almost all former Inter players, starting with Ronaldo, Vieri, Rekoba, Pirlo and the heroes of the 2010 treble.

After the famous era of the '60s with the "Grande Inter" led by his father Angelo Moratti, Massimo Moratti bought Inter in 1995 from Ernesto Pelegrini, who recently passed away.

He managed to lead the club to historic success in 2010, winning the Champions League, Serie A and Coppa Italia in the same season, a feat that no Italian club had achieved before.

During his presidency, Inter won a total of 16 trophies.
