On the eve of the big Champions League semi-final between Inter and Barcelona, French striker Markus Thuram is at the center of a serious scandal. Charlotte Lavish, an influencer and adult film actress, has published a video on TikTok in which she confesses to being physically abused by the footballer in 2022, when he was still playing in Germany with Borussia Mönchengladbach.
In the video, which was also shared on the X platform (formerly Twitter), Sharlot shows large bruises on her body, claiming that they are the result of the violence inflicted by Turam. She states that these photos were taken 7 days after the beating and that during the incident, the footballer locked her in the house, took her passport and broke her phone, asking her not to film her. She also says that she was dragged into the room and that the neighbors heard everything, calling the police, who then came to the scene to carry out verifications.
Lavish also mentions the use of a "rape kit", a package for collecting evidence in cases of sexual assault, while claiming to have given the police all the evidence. German prosecutors, however, have closed the case, having found no sufficient evidence to initiate criminal proceedings against Turam.
Why did she speak out now? Charlotte has been asked why she waited three years to speak publicly about the serious incident. She said: " It took me a whole year to get through the legal case. I was trying to pursue the legal route, but now I'm not interested. There is no financial benefit to me and he will most likely not face any consequences for what he did to me ."
She categorically denies that her motivation for this public denunciation is economic: “ There is no longer any open court case. How can I get money if there is no criminal process? I am sharing my story to find personal healing. I hope he goes to prison, but I know that will not happen .”
The accusations came just hours before the most important match of the season for Turam and Inter. Neither the club nor the player have officially commented on the matter.
