Elvis Rexhbecaj is expected to change teams during the summer transfer window, as his contract with Augsburg expires at the end of the season. According to a report by German media outlet “Kicker”, the 28-year-old midfielder is likely to continue his career in the Bundesliga.
The two clubs that have shown concrete interest in Rexhbecaj are Werder Bremen and Borussia Mönchengladbach. The latter had expressed interest in the player since the winter transfer window. We recall that in the past, Switzerland captain Granit Xhaka also played for Mönchengladbach.
At the international level, Rexhbecaj was an important part of Kosovo's midfield during the matches in March. However, the "Dardans" failed to secure qualification for the World Cup. Kosovo was narrowly defeated by Turkey with a score of 1-0 at the "Fadil Vokrri" stadium.
