
No repeat of success for Italy. The reigning champions have said goodbye to the European since the 1/16 round, after being defeated with a clean score of 2-0 by Switzerland at the "Olympiastadion" in Berlin.
Italy failed to capitalize on a free kick near the box in the 19th minute, squandering a good opportunity. In the 24th minute, Embolo made a mistake alone in front of goalkeeper Donaruma.
The Helvetii unlocked the game in the 37th minute. Frøyler found space in the area and did not hesitate to launch a shot which ended up in the bottom left corner beating Donaruma.
