Not so good news comes from Spain. Albanian national team defender Ivan Balliu, who plays for Rayo Vallecano in La Liga, suffered an injury in the match against Elche, in what was his first match as a starter this season in the Spanish championship.
During the match, the red and black defender placed his hand on the back of his right muscle and everything indicates that there is damage to the muscle fibers in his right thigh, but the extent of this damage and consequently the rehabilitation period are still unknown.
Ivan Balliu was the starter in the match against Elçena instead of Ratiu, who was suspended after completing his 5 accumulated yellow cards. This is also the first time this season that Balliu has played two consecutive matches as a starter; last Thursday he was in the lineup in the match against Drita in the Conference League and on Sunday against Elçena.
In total, Ivan Balliu has played in 18 matches in all competitions, of which he has been a starter in 11; 8 in the Conference League, 2 in the Copa del Rey and 1 in La Liga.
