Not only relegation, Manchester City risks even more severe penalties

Manchester City is accused of breaking 115 rules during the market, exceeding the allowed limits of Financial Fair Play. This Monday, the trial against the club officially started.

This trial is being overseen by an independent commission of three judges and refers to the period of transfers from 2009 to 2018.

City executives have so far reportedly failed to provide accurate details of player and coach payments, breached profit declaration rules and are in breach of UEFA player transfer regulations.

The English club claims to be innocent. This is what Pep Guardiola said a few days ago: " Until the day the trial ends, everyone is considered innocent, so wait ."

The Telegraph reports that, if most of the allegations are proven, City will not only be relegated, but will receive hefty fines and be banned from the FA Cup and Carabao Cup.
